Project Description:
We are a new business that produces multimedia learning resources for children. We have one resource written and partially completed instructional design. The completed resource will be approximately 30 screens. I have worked as a writer and instructional designer previously but have always had other staff to take care of the graphic design, illustration and programming for me. I never really paid much attention to what they did so I apologise that although I have a vision....I have no idea about the technical language or process used by graphic designers and programmers. I would simply write the text, tell them what I want it to look like on screen, and with their great expertise they would make it happen - the end product being a professional, interactive and engaging learning resource available online for users around the world. I am looking for someone who can do the same for me now. The resources will contain a lot of audio to target non-reading children. They will also feature functions such as: 'Click on the picture to hear an example' 'Click on the icon for more information' Pull-out panels on some screens to provide 'nice to know information to the user' Interactivity/ character movement. I was initially planning on using shutterstock images for the resource but I may now consider using an illustrator or taking my own images (with a professional photographer) instead. Please let me know in your reply if you have a preference for working with either of these options. The resource will be in English. This is the first project. I have another 9 in progress. If you have standard templates that you have already created, I can modify some of the instructional design to suit and can try to re-use the screens in future resources with different images and audios (to save cost where possible) The ideal person for this job will need patience to work with someone who doesnt know all of the technical jargon, a creative mind and keenness to work with children's learning material, a can-do attitude and be reliable.
